Efforts to preserve cultural heritage and the nation's development policies that take into account the needs of the differently-abled group were among the matters raised during the Committee of Supply Debate for the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports. Prior to the Debate, the Council have voted and approved topics under the Ministry of Development.
Other matters raised included efforts to maintain and preserve the nation's cultural heritage;
Enhance facility development and support the development of local economies;
Youth programmes that provide the opportunity for personal development;
Ensure that programmes and the nation's development policies take into account the needs of the differently-abled group;
Policy consideration on setting the age limits for childcare centres;
Planning for the establishment of a special body that plans programmes to enhance youth entrepreneurship ecosystem;
Support for families caring for senior citizens to help reduce the care giving burden;
And the provided assistance that plays a role to reduce income index gap through empowering a sustainable economy.
